Breakfast Bowl Comparison

Breakfast Bowl Introduction

The last time I went to WA to visit my dad, he introduced me to Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowls. They are high in protein, and low in carbohydrates, which is great for just about any diet. The breakfast bowls come in different flavors such as sausage & gravy, bacon, biscuits & gravy, and steak & eggs, and more. My personal favorite is the bacon breakfast bowl. Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls are about $3 per bowl, and go on sale often, which is when I stock up. The typical sale price for Jimmy Dean is buy two for $5, which saves you about 30-40 cents per bowl. I have done a breakfast bowl comparison for prices at all the grocery stores we shopped at while we lived in North Carolina. I do know for a fact that buying these breakfast bowls on sale was the absolute best price at that time.

Breakfast Bowl Comparison

The prices above are typical prices in North Carolina; however, yesterday my sister in law and I went to Walmart down here in Georgia. The Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls were $2 each, which is significantly less than in North Carolina. Next to the Jimmy Dean breakfast bowls was an off-brand, or store brand breakfast bowl called Great Value. The Great Value breakfast bowls had the same type of flavors for only $1.87 each. So I went ahead and picked up a bacon breakfast bowl and a sausage breakfast bowl for my husband and I to try to compare taste.

The Test

This morning I ate the bacon breakfast bowl, and let me tell you, it taste exactly like the Jimmy Dean bacon breakfast bowl! So in conclusion, when I buy breakfast bowls in the future, I will be purchasing whichever one is the cheapest since they taste exactly the same. Now that’s a bargain if I ever found one!

**In the future I will do a Nutrition Facts comparison since I am unable to do so at this time.
