This morning I began the 3 Day Refresh. Yes, on Mother’s Day! I’m tired of the extra weight I put on while we were staying with family for two months during our transition to GA from NC. Not being able to eat the way I like or workout with my equipment has taken a toll on my weight and bodily inches! Luckily, the damage done was not as bad as I thought it would be. Sometimes something good comes out of a bad situation.
This morning before I officially began the 3 Day Refresh, I weighed myself and measured my body to get my overall body measurements. I weighed in at 144 pounds, which is 14 to 24 more pounds than I usually weigh. My overall body measurements were 192.2, which was only 2 inches more than my last measure back in February 2016. With my weight being that high, I was pretty upset at myself and our whole situation that caused this to happen; but also relieved that I had only gained 2 inches around my body.
Not that I don’t have myself to blame – but when you are traveling through multiple states, and staying in hotels, it is very hard to eat healthy at every single meal. I did the best that I could, but everything that followed was unexpected, and I was not able to cook for myself the way I normally do for two whole months! Even staying with family you cannot control the meals that get made and how healthy or unhealthy they are. I did cook some, but the three different families we stayed with had their own routines and unfortunately my routine got interrupted. There really wasn’t anything I could do to change our situation. When we finally stayed with the third family, I was able to begin exercising again and eating more healthy. The only constant I had throughout this whole ordeal, which most likely kept my body the same size, is that I continued to drink my shakeology every single day!
Today was day number 1 and I have gotten all the way through my afternoon snack. I still have dinner, and then I begin day number 2 of the 3 Day Refresh tomorrow. The amount of food I get to eat is not much, so these 3 days really kind of suck, but I will get through it! I am determined to start my diet right, and that is precisely the point of the 3 Day Refresh. The 3 Day Refresh recharges your body and helps you kick-start a healthier lifestyle. This is something you are able to do monthly, quarterly, or annually. Personally, this is my second time doing the 3 Day Refresh. I think doing this quarterly is a great time-frame if you’re looking for some guidance.
